How to Cook a Perfect Omelet
Cooking a perfect omelet requires a few key techniques. Beat eggs with a splash of milk and season with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a pat of butter. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed until the edges begin to set. Use a spatula to gently lift the edges and tilt the pan to allow the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Once the omelet is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, add your desired fillings such as cheese, vegetables, or ham. Fold the omelet in half and slide it onto a plate. Serve immediately.
